Kids' Music

If you head over to NoMoreRack today you can get a $100 voucher to downloadkidsmusic.com for $20. If your little ones are always stealing your mp3 player like mine do, you know how valuable this is :) That is, if they have a CD player or mp3 player. There are learning songs, kids' songs, and classical music on the website. I love that I can snag them some cheap educational music to listen to in the car. Happy Saving

PlumDistrict

When I saw this deal on Plum District I automatically thought of daycare. I remember trying everything to get my boys' names to stay on their sippy cups when they went to daycare- Sharpie washed off, along with everything else. At Plum District you can get a $30 gift certificate to Kidzies for $15. They have some cute personalized cups, along with other products. So, if you're tired of your child's stuff getting swapped, or just want to make something cute and personalized, go snag it for yourself. Happy Saving!

Animal Lover?

If you head on over to Plum District right now and look in the Houston: Katy/Sugarland area, you'll find a deal for a one-year subscription to National Geographic Kids for just $12. My boys got this subscription as a present from my mom earlier in the year and they absolutely love it! For kids who love animals (or just getting something in the mailbox every month), this is perfect. I really can't say enough about how much kids enjoy this magazine and what a great deal this is. Happy Saving!

Shopping For Two?

Anyone with two kids close in age (usually of the same gender) knows that if you buy something for one child, you have to get something pretty much the same for the other one, otherwise you're in for one BIG headache. Right now at Toys R Us they are having buy one, get one at 50% off. Some of the products included are the Mega Blocks Construction Sets, Xia-Xia toys, Nerf, and LEGO construction sets. If I weren't done shopping, I would definitely be picking up some Nerf guns and LEGOs. Unfortunately, in my house buy one get one half off doesn't work with Nerf guns, because my husband feels very left out- and will cry like one of the kids- if they get new Nerf guns and he doesn't. :/  hehe, boys will be boys, at any age. Check out their website to see all the deals going on today. Happy Saving!

InkGarden

If you head on over to InkGarden today you won't find anything too amazing, but they do have some promo codes. If you send out thank-you cards after Christmas (or just throughout the year), you can enter the promo code Thanks at checkout to receive 40% off all thank-you cards. Desk Calendars are just $5 each with the code DESK5, and wall calendars are buy one, get one free when you use code BOGOCAL. This is the time of year when everyone's actually together to get pictures of, so maybe for yourself (or mother, sister, etc.) you could put one of those great family pictures onto a travel mug for just $8 using Tmugsdec. NuMe Hair Products

Right now at Eversave you can snag a voucher to NuMe worth $130 for just $30. This is a great deal, and since I need a new flat iron I decided to check it out. I am so thankful I looked before I bought- the cheapest flat iron they have is $115 for a mini. You can purchase a full-size one for around $165, making your out of pocket cost around $75 (inc. shipping). Truthfully, that's not a bad price for a good flat iron, I'm just too cheap. lol   Happy Saving

Beautiful Bracelet

Well, it's 4:42 in the morning and I woke up from this cold :/  On the bright side, that means I can catch up on some much-needed sales digging!  Right now at Amazon they have this pretty heart toggle bracelet for only $2.49. If you're looking to use it as a stocking stuffer or present, expedited shipping will bring your total to around $10.50. If you don't mind not having it here by Christmas (say, if it's a gift to yourself) regular shipping will bring your total to about $6. All in all, it's a nice price for a pretty bracelet. Just go to Amazon and search "toggle bracelet links of love".

Pretty Pictures

Right now at PlumDistrict you can snag a 12x16 canvas print from CanvasBerry for only $29! (This would normally cost you around $87) This could make for a nice Christmas present (say, to grandparents- if you don't mind paying extra to get it here in time), or just something nice to hang on your own walls. I'm in love with canvas prints right now- they're so pretty, and make your favorite picture really stand out.

I'm Back!

Hello again everyone! It's been a while due to moving, so expect to see quite a few posts today. The boys and I are having a lazy day (finally!) after moving and unpacking for a week straight. Unfortunately, it's that time where the great deals you can find online m

HOT PlumDistrict Deal

Right now at PlumDistrict there is a deal where you get a $40 gift certificate to Ink Garden for $15. You can snag it for cheaper if you follow their link in the upper right corner to "like" them on Facebook. I ended up paying $10 for the certificate and got my husband and boys personalized gifts for Christmas. They also have some coupon codes right now, but they say you cannot combine them with any other offers, so I'm not sure if you can get the discounts when using the gift certificate.
11 oz Personalized Ceramic Mugs for $5 each  Mug5d
Ceramic Ornaments for $9.50 each  ORN95
Wall Calendars 40% off   Calendar40
Deck of Cards, buy one get one free   FreeDeck
Mouse Pads $4 each   DecMouse
If you try using the coupon codes with the gift certificate, let me know if it works.

Free Shipping & Great Prices!

I've found a new obsession, and for a good reason. http://www.focalprice.com/ is almost too good to be true. The ring above is only around $5, and on top of that- drumroll please- FREE SHIPPING! On everything on the website!! Their prices are insanely cheap, like a Hello Kitty watch for $2. They offer all kinds of products for the home, electronics, jewelry, etc. I ordered from them today for the first time so I'm not sure how long shipping really will take, but I'll update you as soon as I find out. For such low prices and free shipping, I'm willing to wait 2 weeks to get what I ordered. :)  You can pay for quicker shipping if you were wanting to order something for Christmas, so if you do order and choose expedited shipping, let me know how accurate it is.   Happy Saving!

FREE Christmas Cards

Well, I tried putting up the picture of the Christmas cards I made, but since my screen shot skills are iffy at best, you'll just have to believe me when I tell you they're cute. :)  At any rate, they were free, and free is always cute! If you head over to See Here you can get 20-25 personalized 4x8 cards for free, just pay shipping. Put code 25cards into the Coupon Code box at checkout, and the remaining balance will just be shipping. I paid $1.49 for 20 cards- if you get 25 you'll pay between $3-$4 for shipping. I always have to put 2 pictures on things like this, since the 4 of us can never take a decent picture together! See Here will let you put as many pictures as you'd like, so if you need one picture of the kids and one of you and your honey (like I always do) it's no proble at all. :) I ordered mine 2 days ago, and they said I'll get my cards around the 19th. If you think it's too late to get your cards in time for Christmas, why not choose a different backgroun and make some Valentine's cards for friends and family?

Cute Kids For Christmas

I love Children's Place clothes! Unfortunately, I don't always love their prices. They're having some sales today, although usually something has to be really cheap online for me to get it to compensate for the shipping. If you use the coupon code Z9D2011 you can get 20% off already clearanced items. Check their clearance section first, that's where you'll find the best deals (they had some adorable boys' sweaters for $11.00). All in all, I had one $11.99 sweater, which came out to about $16 after taxes, shipping, and the coupon code. I've heard they're having $5 fat-rate shipping for orders under $75, which is great if you're looking for Christmas day outfits. Still, $16 for a really cute sweater shipped to my door makes me happy. :)

Eversave- Digital Photo Album

If you've never checked out Eversave here's a good reason to. Right now they have this Coby digital photo album for $24, a $60 value. (The $19 in the picture is because I have a $5 credit with them) Just go to their website, create a free account, and start shopping. I've gotten some really good deals from them the past week for Christmas, and if I had anymore presents to buy, I'd be picking this up as well :) The fine print says shipping is included, but sometimes the "fine print" on these deals is universal to all the sales, so while it may say shipping is included, it may not be. I bought a certificate to Kidorable a couple weeks ago that said it could not be used toward shipping, but the website allowed it to be. Even if there is a shipping charge, if it's minimal, you'd still be snagging this for about half price.

FREE Photobook

No, I'm not just bragging about how beautiful my babies are. This is one of the pictures I used today to create a FREE photobook at http://www.vistaprint.com/ . They have about 12 cute designs for the books, and you can add captions to your pages as well. The shipping was around $6, but considering that's all I paid, it was a GREAT Christmas present. :) (although it won't get there until the 28th... sorry Grandma) Also, if you sign up for their e-mails they'll send you a notice whenever a sale is coming up. If you're like me, you have tons of pictures of your kids on your computer but not enough wall space to hang them all. A photobook is a great way to get about 10 of your favorite pictures, or just 10 of the same "theme", printed for the world to see. Well, at least the ones who visit your house and happen to flip through it. ;)

Hello All!

I hate seeing my hard-earned money disappear every week, just like everyone else. I would reduce to a panic-mode whenever it came time to balance the checkbook. Instead of coming to terms with the weekly meltdown, I decided to find a way to get my family everything we needed- and some things we wanted- for a price I was comfortable paying. This was no easy task, since I am either more of a penny-pincher than I thought I was, or because I'm stuck back where prices were 5 years ago.
Here you will find links to great online deals, coupon-store matchups, and healthy recipes on a budget. Hopefully you can start enjoying saving money the way I do, instead of feeling "deprived" about waitng for sales or going without for a while like some people do. Please check back often, as there will be multiple posts in a day (when my kids allow!).
Happy Saving.
